Abstract

The transformation of legal policy in the digital era presents various new challenges for Indonesia's legal system. The rapid advancement of technology demands adjustments in legal policies to address critical issues such as personal data protection, cybersecurity, and consumer protection in digital environments. This study aims to identify the main challenges in adapting legal policies in the digital era and to provide solutions that are suitable for Indonesia's legal context. Using a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, this study analyzes secondary data from laws, scientific literature, and policy reports related to digital law.

The findings reveal several key challenges, including gaps in public digital literacy, the need for cross-sectoral cooperation to address cyber threats, and regulatory limitations in responding to technological developments. Suggested solutions include regulatory updates that are responsive to technological innovation, cross-sectoral and international collaboration, and increased digital literacy for both the public and law enforcement officials. These findings highlight the importance of adaptive, progressive, and sustainable legal policies to protect public rights in the digital era.
