Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. Focus and Scope

Wawasan Belajar Anak Usia Dini publishes original research articles in the field of Early Childhood Education (ECE). The journal’s scope includes:

  • Early Childhood Education Curriculum
  • Child Development and Psychology
  • Innovation in Early Childhood Education
  • Assessment in Early Childhood Education
  • Management of Early Childhood Education Institutions
  • Character Education in Early Childhood
  • Parenting and Family Education

Manuscripts must demonstrate novelty and provide clear theoretical and/or practical contributions.

2. General Requirements

  1. The manuscript must be an original scholarly work and must not have been previously published or be under consideration by another journal.
  2. Articles must be written in standard, formal Indonesian or American English (US).
  3. The manuscript length must be 4,000–5,000 words (including references).
  4. Paper size: A4.
  5. Font: Book Antiqua, 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing.
  6. Abstract: Book Antiqua, 10 pt, single spacing.
  7. The file must be submitted in .docx format.

3. Title and Author Information

  • Maximum 15 words.
  • Written in full capital letters.
  • Book Antiqua, 14 pt, bold, centered.
  • Provide full names without academic titles.
  • Include institutional affiliation.
  • Provide each author’s email address.
  • Mark the corresponding author with an asterisk (*).

4. Abstract and Keywords

  • 150–200 words.
  • Must summarize the background, method, results, and discussion.
  • Must not directly copy the conclusion section.

Keywords must consist of 3–5 words or phrases.

5. Manuscript Organization

A. Introduction (10–15%)

The introduction must explain the research background, research urgency, brief literature review, research gap, research objectives, theoretical and practical contributions, and the element of novelty.

It must be written in narrative paragraphs without subheadings.

B. Research Method (5–10%)

This section must systematically describe:

  • Type and research approach
  • Research subjects/objects
  • Data collection techniques
  • Data analysis techniques
  • Statistical procedures (for quantitative research)

This section must ensure transparency and replicability.

C. Results and Discussion (75–85%)

  • Results must be presented systematically according to the research questions.
  • The discussion must interpret the findings and compare them with relevant theories or previous studies.
  • Avoid duplicating data presentation (choose either tables or figures).
  • Emphasize theoretical and practical implications for early childhood education.

Tables:

  • Titles placed above the table.
  • No vertical lines.

Figures:

  • Titles placed below the figure.
  • Include the source if necessary.

D. Conclusion

The conclusion must be written in paragraph form.
It must answer the research questions and be based on the research findings.
It must not be speculative or merely a repetition of the discussion.

5. Citation and References

Uses the American Psychological Association (APA) Style, 7th Edition.

  • In-text citation format: (Author, Year).
  • Page numbers are required for direct quotations.
  • References must use hanging indent format.
  • Single spacing in the reference list.

Only cited sources must appear in the reference list, and all listed references must be cited in the text.

Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.

6. Publication Ethics

Authors must:

  • Ensure the originality of the manuscript
  • Avoid plagiarism and data fabrication
  • Disclose any conflict of interest (if applicable)
  • Take full responsibility for copyright compliance and the use of third-party materials

7. Submission and Review Process

  1. Manuscripts must be submitted through the OJS system.
  2. Administrative screening by the editor.
  3. Double-blind peer review process.
  4. Editorial decision:
  • Accepted
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Rejected

8. Publication Information

  • Each published article includes metadata: Received, Accepted, and Published dates.
  • Copyright remains with the author(s).
  • Articles are published under the journal’s open-access policy.
