As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is 1.5 line spacing; uses a 12-point font; New paragraph with fixed line spacing of 1.5; Use italics for emphasis or distinction, and do not use underlining on these words, except when writing a website address (URL); Images, graphs, diagrams, tables, and illustrations should be placed directly next to the paragraphs that discuss them, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  1. Articles submitted to Khazanah: Journal of Islamic Education and Science must be original scholarly works and must not have been previously published in any media. Manuscripts may employ qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-method approaches and may be based on field research or in-depth critical literature review.

  2. Articles must be written in standard academic Indonesian or American English (US), following appropriate scholarly writing conventions.

  3. Articles must follow the IMRaD structure, consisting of: Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, and References.

  4. The manuscript length must range between 4,000 and 4,500 words. The manuscript should be typed using Microsoft Word, Garamond font, 12-point size, 1.5 line spacing, and first-line paragraph indentation (1 cm). The abstract must use Garamond 11-point font, single spacing, no paragraph indentation, and A4 paper size.

  5. The title must consist of 12–15 words, written in Title Case capitalization. All subheadings must be written in full capital letters. The title must use Garamond font, 14-point size (bold), and subheadings must use 12-point size (bold).

  6. The Title, Abstract, and Keywords must be provided in both American English (US) and Indonesian, even if the full article is written entirely in English.

  7. Articles must be submitted in soft copy format as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file.

  8. All citations must use in-text citation format following the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style. Examples include: Endang and Wibowo (2022), (Endang & Wibowo, 2022), (Derwing et al., 2002). For three or more authors, use “et al.”

  9. The References section must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style guidelines. At least 80% of references should be sourced from scholarly journals and 20% from other sources such as books, encyclopedia articles, mass media articles, or academic websites. References should preferably be from the last eight years.

  10. All manuscripts are reviewed by editors according to their areas of expertise. Authors will be given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ or editors’ recommendations. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be provided in writing. For manuscripts accepted with major revisions, authors are given two weeks to complete revisions. For manuscripts accepted with minor revisions, authors are given one week to complete revisions.

  11. Any matters related to permission for quotations, the use of software in manuscript preparation, or other issues concerning Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), including any legal consequences arising from such matters, are the sole responsibility of the author.

  12. Authors must adhere to the style of this journal; this is very important for articles to be accepted and published.
