1. Manuscripts submitted to Khazanah: Journal of Islamic Education and Science must be original scholarly works that have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. The journal accepts qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods studies, including field research and comprehensive critical literature reviews.
2. Manuscripts must be written in standard Indonesian or American English (US) using formal academic language.
3. Manuscripts must follow the IMRaD structure, consisting of Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, References, and a Conflict of Interest Statement.
4. Manuscripts should contain 4,000-7,000 words (excluding references, tables, figures, graphs, charts, and appendices). The main body of the manuscript, from the abstract through the conclusion, must contain at least 4,000 words.
5. The title must consist of 12-15 words, written in English, with each major word capitalized. All words in section headings and subheadings must be written in uppercase letters. The title should use Garamond 14 pt (bold), while headings and subheadings should use Garamond 12 pt (bold).
6. The Abstract and Keywords must be provided in both English (United States) and Indonesian, even if the manuscript is written entirely in Indonesian. For manuscripts written entirely in English, only the English abstract and keywords are required. The abstract should be 150-200 words in length, and authors must provide 3-5 keywords that accurately represent the main topics of the manuscript.
7. Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word, Garamond 12 pt, 1.5 line spacing, and A4 paper size. Paragraphs should use a First Line indent of 1 cm. The abstract should be written in Garamond 11 pt, single-spaced, with no paragraph indentation.
8. The presentation of tables and figures must comply with the following requirements:
- Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Table 2, Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.).
- Each table and figure must include a concise and informative title, accompanied by a source (if applicable) and explanatory notes.
- Every table and figure must be cited in the text before it appears.
- Tables and figures must be of sufficient quality to ensure that all information is clearly legible.
- Tables should be presented in a simple format and avoid excessive use of vertical lines. Formatting must be consistent throughout the manuscript.
- Figures, graphs, diagrams, maps, and illustrations must be of high resolution (minimum 300 dpi).
- Symbols, abbreviations, units, and explanatory notes used in tables or figures must be clearly defined whenever ambiguity may arise.
- If a table or figure is adapted or reproduced from another source, the original source must be fully acknowledged below the table or figure in accordance with APA 7th Edition.
- Tables and figures should be placed appropriately within the manuscript and positioned close to the relevant discussion.
- Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted materials whenever required.
9. All citations must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition in-text citation style. Examples include:

For works with three or more authors, use "et al." after the first author's surname.
10. The References section must follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style. At least 90% of the references should be scholarly journal articles, while a maximum of 10% may consist of other sources, such as books, encyclopedia articles, mass media articles, and scholarly websites. References should preferably have been published within the last 10 years, and the manuscript must include at least 25 references.
11. The manuscript's similarity index must comply with the journal's plagiarism policy and must not exceed 25%.
12. All manuscripts are subject to peer review by editors and reviewers according to their areas of expertise. Authors will be given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts based on editorial and reviewer recommendations. Notification of acceptance or rejection will be provided in writing. Manuscripts requiring major revisions must be resubmitted within two weeks, while those requiring minor revisions must be revised within one week.
13. Authors are fully responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted materials, including quotations, software, datasets, figures, tables, or any other materials protected under Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Any legal consequences arising from copyright infringement shall be the sole responsibility of the author.
14. Authors must strictly adhere to the journal's house style, formatting requirements, and editorial policies. Compliance with these guidelines is essential for the manuscript to be considered for acceptance and publication.
